Better bowls. Happier tails. Less guesswork.

Your Animal Is More Than What Is in the Bowl

Your Animal Is More Than What Is in the Bowl

Food matters. A lot. But your animal does not live in a food bowl—despite what the dog may tell you. They live in a whole body, inside a whole home, with water, routines, cleaning products, grooming products, movement, sleep, stress, weather, yard adventures, and approximately seventeen other things that can affect how they feel.

I’m Melody—the holistic pet nutrition and wellness nerd behind Healthy Tails. I help you look at the whole furry situation: what goes into the bowl, what comes out of the tap, what touches their skin and bedding, what their days look like, and what their individual body has been trying to tell you.

I use holistic nutrition and wellness education, practical observation, and TCVM principles to help you make thoughtful changes without fear, shame, or replacing your entire household before lunch. Bring the questions. Bring the mystery itch. Bring the dog who drinks from puddles but distrusts the filtered water. I’ll bring the coffee.

Start Free—No Decoder Ring RequiredHelp Me Pick the Right Thing

Hi, I’m Melody—and this work began with a dog named Thor.

Thor’s spinal lesion and passing changed the direction of my life. Losing him left me with a heart full of love and a head full of questions, so I went back to school to understand holistic pet nutrition and wellness more deeply.

I did not plan to build another business. I was already running a florist company with my sister. But halfway through my education, I felt a clear direction from the Holy Spirit to create Healthy Tails. That calling is why I keep showing up: to help pet parents sort through the noise, understand the animal in front of them, and make nourishing choices with confidence and compassion.

I have completed more than 4,000 hours of coursework in holistic pet nutrition and wellness and hold four professional certifications. I am not a veterinarian or a board-certified veterinary nutritionist. I provide education and individualized nutrition-and-wellness support, and I encourage collaboration with your animal’s veterinary team whenever medical care is involved.

One Size Fits... Nobody!

Your animal has a history, a constitution, a home, a routine, preferences, stress patterns, and at least one habit that makes absolutely no sense. That is why I start with the individual—not just the food, not a trend, and definitely not whatever the internet declared toxic before breakfast. Pick the path that matches the creature and the kind of support you need.

Don't Know Where To Go Next?

Not sure whether the problem is the food, the water, the laundry detergent, the routine, or a conspiracy involving all four? Excellent. You are in the right place. I’ll show you which options answer a focused question and which ones let me look at the whole animal and their everyday world. If the choices still make your eyes cross, send me a note.

Real Animals. Real Lessons.

Healthy Tails is not built on perfect promises or one-size-fits-all answers. It is built around real animals, real families, and the wonderfully individual lessons that appear when we pay attention. Inside The Tail-End Truth, I share what changed, what helped, what did not, and what each animal taught me along the way.

The Healthy Tails Watchdog

Recalls have terrible timing and even worse paperwork. I check the official sources Monday through Friday, translate the important bits, and put them in one place so you do not have to spend your evening squinting at lot numbers like a pet-food detective.

No panic parade. Just what happened, what is affected, and what to do next.

One Quick But Important Note

I’m your holistic nutrition-and-wellness guide, not your veterinarian. I do not diagnose, prescribe, treat, or replace veterinary care. If your animal is sick, injured, in pain, or showing urgent symptoms, call a licensed veterinarian. Around that medical care, I can help you examine the everyday pieces—the food, water, products, environment, routines, and patterns that shape your animal’s total wellness.
